about

Tim (vocals/guitar) met Austin (drums) and started Atlanta's very own Oceaneater between bottle rockets, bar fights, and ear-blistering jam sessions. You could say they're like another day at the beach if your day at the beach included a mosh pit and sunscreen burning your eyes while you put a shark in an aggressive guitar-riff headlock. You could say they're like the Black Keys if the Black Keys had some fun and opened a surf shack where you could go for a four-course meal of fuzzy riffs, blurring genres, addicting impishness, and a long sardonic streak of the obstinate chorus. You could say that they're early Beach Boys if the beach wiped out, washed into the ocean, battled Godzilla, and somehow ended up dating your sister...and living in your pool house. 'Sup bro. With this new album entitled, “RIPPERS” they've proven they're more than your basic sweaty hopped-up, reverberating duo. So, give a listen to your new favorite band, and refrain from licking that live wire you've got in your hand.
